A hundred meters downstream we come across a fisherman with the fly. He is busy replacing the leader. As we approach him he explains to us that he broke it on a fish as that he is using a 0.10 mm. with two tiny nymphs. I am a bit puzzled on why one would use such a tiny nylon in this white water. He seems to read my mind and he tells that he participates in fishing fishing competition and the thin nylon sinks faster, so that he can catch more trout in a shorter time frame.
