Originally tied by Bob Clouser in the 80s to fish the smallmouth bass in Pennsyvania US. The eyes were added to the pattern in a second step and provided the typical jigging effect, reminding the movement of panicking, escaping fish. A simple fly that requires the exact balance of proportions. The weight of the eyes, tied on the top side of the hook's shank, will let the fly work upside down, reducing snags with the bottom of the water. Find the tying steps in the flybox section
